Healthy Communities Partnership Halton

About Us

In 2010 the Health Promotion Branch of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (formerly the Ministry of Health Promotion and Sport) launched the Healthy Communities Fund initiative across the province. The Ministry identified six priority areas for the initiative: physical activity, injury prevention, healthy eating, mental health, reducing tobacco use and exposure, and preventing alcohol and substance misuse.

One of the goals of the initiative is to strengthen the capacity of communities to address issues within the six priority areas by increasing the number of partners and sectors involved in creating supportive environments for health.

This new website will be the forum for the on-going exchange of information and ideas for Healthy Communities Fund initiative in Halton.
